What TV Shows did you grow up with?

This was my all time favorite Acid Rock Video - shocked to find it on you tube!

Not So Sweet Martha Lorraine.

Very goofy story that goes with this video. I loved this song - it was a very ridiculous night in my hippie days. I must have listened to this song at least a dozen times over and over, bouncing up and down on the couch with my girlfriend as I watched these beautiful colored notes coming out of this guy's mouth as he turned into a skeleton. I couldn't stop laughing and that's what this crazy song reminds me of. I am sure he ended up hating it (don't even remember his name) but I love this crazy song more than their Viet Nam song.

Yeah, the odds are slim that you ran across her. I don't remember the call letters but the main DJ's were The Real Don Steele, and Something Morgan or Morgan something. LOL It woulda been in the same time frame. I'll e-mail her and see if she knew anyone from KTNQ. AM or FM? I'm pretty sure she was AM, but I'll ask. Most of her bosses were A-#1-Jerkwads too. (and that's putting it nicely)

There were 76 radio stations in Los Angeles - ya think? I was at KTNQ in 1976 or 77 I don't remember. It was short lived. I worked for a real jerk.

Do you know I tried for years to get to a Santana concert? I think I gave up after the 3rd concert I bought a ticket to, canceled for a NO SHOW. Santana was great at their music but not extremely reliable. My best girlfriend worked for radio stations in L.A. Wonder if you knew her or of her?

Ah hah - I'm not that prim and proper after all. Loved Santana. Saw them perform at Magic Mountain once when Ten-Q radio (whom I was working for at the time) did a promo out there. This was long before there was anything between Magic Mountain and the SFV.

I remember getting hooked on Santana on a trip! Yep, I was down in San Diego visiting some guys stationed there. I never had any problems remembering acid trips more distinctly and vividly than anything else. I mean your level of awarness is so much greater that you kind of have to! I've met very few people I could talk LSD make you FEEL GOOD with. LOL Nice to meet you finally!

I remember some of the 60's (It's been said that if you remember the 60's you didn't live the 60's) but was never a big fan of Country Joe and the Fish. I don't think you can really call this "acid" rock as the genre was much harder and way louder! However if you were on acid when seeing the blue notes coming outta his mouth. . . I understand why you might tag this acid rock!
