Anyone caught this show yet? Amber Tamblyn. Really different. I'm hooked. Totally different then other cop shows. I like it even better than Life on Mars.
Funny show and very different for a cop show, as you say. Each of them has very distinct personalities and I love the "42" obsession of Harold Perrineau, Jr. (from Lost). It really isn't Amber's show, although she prolly the best known of the lot.
I liked that show and wondered why it didn't get more flack from the religious right! Usually the Jerry Falwells would have been crawling outta the woodwork over them depicting God as black women, or janitors!
I think cable gets away with a lot more than the networks do, and I don't know why that is. I've never hear "shit" on network tv but you get it on cable all the time.
I guess we have to classify shows as Network v. the other stations since I don't do cable, I think it's the premium stations - I have Direct TV so I can get the NYC shows so I don't have to watch basketball in prime time (the local games) or when they decide to have an hour of Christian programming in prime time.
That's the drag when you live in an independent market place - the programs are bought separately. Certain local stations identify themselves as affiliated with a Network, but that doesn't mean that can't have someone come in and buy time for an hour and replace what the O&O's are showing (Owned and Operated of which there used to be only allowed 5 per network - have no idea now).
Well Sh*t - it's been canceled. guess you can use it at some point down the line under "Experts" since it was so short lived. Bummer. I really liked that show. I even noticed that Glee isn't on and I kind of like the first episode. I really despise those network execs. Oh well gives me more time for DW in FB. Will get back to TV guessing later on - too hot now.
It's not a singing show, although there's singing. It's about a group of very diverse high school kids trying out for competitive "glee Clubs" if you will. Sort of like Idol, meets Dancing, meets 90210. It does have Jane Lynch-- say no more. Don't be dissin' Cop Rock, an unappreciated masterpiece.
