What TV Shows did you grow up with?

I posted this on Jig but want to share it here too.

TV.com says "The Dollhouse is a very secret, and very illegal, place where wishes come true. Clients with the right connections and enough money can hire "Actives", people who have been programmed to perfectly fulfill the needs, and desires of their clients. The Actives are people who have chosen, for their own reasons, to surrender their bodies and minds for a five-year stay in the Dollhouse. Now they can be imprinted with any personality, skill, or even muscle memory. They can be the perfect companion, lover, spy, assassin; and when the job is done they forget everything."

Anyone else watch the pilot, and like it?

Eliza Dushku plays Echo (an Active) and does very well, as she did on True Calling. She is also an executive producer. I'm hoping FOX (who drops new shows like hot rocks if they don't pull ratings) decides to give it a real chance. It also as the same limited commercial interruptions as Fringe! (Makes editing it a breeze).

Mere left a link to the Dollhouse trailer and it's a great look into the show. Dollhouse Trailer

I absolutely loved the show!!! I have been meaning to get in here and next I will get to CJig and answer my thoughts there as well as on the Bachelor and my one hour of voting for Singer number 3 on A.I. last night.

I recognize Eliza, but for some reason I couldn't put her face with her name and I kept thinking she must have changed her name. Wasn't she in one of those witch programs like Charmed? Or something like that? I got hooked on that show when I was in the hospital, but ended when I got out. I can't get that crazed or I would never have a chance posting anything here.

Anjyway, I think The Doll House is totally unique and it's nice to see something different. I hope they keep the energy up and the freshness going. I would hate to see it peter out like so many of the new shows do; however, Fox seems to be really good at their selections of shows they choose to air between this station and FX. They have some of the best programming along with TNT - which there are a few shows I watch there as well - and now I'm so far off topic. The end!

Eliza starred on True Calling (another Fox show), where she had the opportunity to re-live days and make things right that went badly wrong. I liked the show but it wasn't as special as Dollhouse. Hope you watched the Trailer, it was great.

I'm not so sure about this show anymore. I still save it, but then it takes me almost a week before I have the oomph to watch. What's that about?

You sound bored with it. I think it's on the chopping block anyway, along with a fave of mine Fringe! Oh boooooo.

I quit watching two weeks ago - It got weirded out for me. Wish they had kept the original premise.

After the season finale I might be with you. It was nuts.

Good to know I didn't hang around.

Well the whack-job Alpha tried to make Echo into someone like himself, meaning 79 personalities running him at the same time. It was just crazy like him.

So the point of the show.....?

Eliza Dushku started out as a co-slaying ass-kicker on Buffy. Tru(no e) Calling she headlined. You folks will have another chance on Dollhouse, surprisingly it was renewed

Maybe she's sleeping with someone? I really liked the show to begin with and started keeping them for tranfer to disc. Then it slacked off. I love ass-kicking women and was a HUGE fan of Alias (another entire show I have on disc). But I didn't know she was on Buffy, cuz I didn't watch Buffy, but Hubby did.
